For a book worm like me- I am always excited to explore book stores. Sometimes the exploration becomes more exciting than finding the right book. At the locally owned Columbus book loft- 32 rooms could fill any void for adventure. Going up and down the stairs, getting lost, and finding theme rooms in the strangest of places feels a little like falling down into the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. Imagine a book- and they probably have it.

Set in historic German village- the store uses every room and every inch to fill with printed word. That sci-fi room looks a little like a closet with book shelves you say? That’s because it is. The old Victorian house makes rooms out of closets, basements, attics, and patios. With the maps located at the front desk, navigation becomes a little easier.
One of the only downfalls is the stairs tend to be steep and narrow- often resulting in unexpected collisions with fellow book adventurers. But if you have some time to kill- or need a little work out- check out the loft. Just bring your cell phone in case you can’t find your way out.
