Amatos Diners Beware

Diners beware.  In this time of a troubled economy not as many people are able to dine out as much as they are used to.  As a Millville resident my family and I support as many local family owned businesses as possible. This is one that I will NEVER visit again and I will spread the word to as many people as possible.  The service was terrible, the food was nothing to talk about but that could have all been overlooked.  When someone orders a special I fully understand that there may be restrictions.  A good waitress or owner for that matter should inform the customer and not wait to rape them at the register.  We odrered a special for $24.99 that came with a 2 liter bottle of soda.  We had already given a drink order not knowing that they stilloffered the specials since it was on a different menu.  The waitress never said are you aware that the 2 liter can not be replaced with fountain drinks (since we have done it before we did not mention it either).  When the bill came it was over $39.  We did add a topping to the pizza and order funnel cake things but that could have not been more then $4.00.To answer the owners questions YES SIR, I CAN READ!  I also am a very educated woman and know that word of mouth can be your best friend or your worst enemy.  If you need the extra $10.00 by all means take it.  If I could offer advise to anyone I would urge them to drive a few more minutes either way down RT 49 and you will find a deli that makes wonderful pizza (toward Bridgeton) and the other direction a terrific It. resturant.  The service at the other two places will not let you down like this place did. Stay away!!!
